Main Circuit Breaker
Every buildout that JM MOBILE FLEET POLICE & EMERGENCY VEHICLE SUPPLY begins with a main circuit breaker utilized to control the electrical current supplied to all emergency equipment installed. This not only protects the vehicle and equipment, it also allows any technician the ability to make a determination of the origin of an electrical issue. In the event a circuit breaker should not be used, a main fuse block is used.

Fuses
Fuses are installed as protection for both the equipment and the wire supplying that equipment. Each piece of equipment is individually fused. This reduces the risk of multiple equipment failures. Additionally, this makes locating a problem very easy to pin point. Fuses are always located as close to the power source as possible.

Wiring
JM MOBILE FLEET POLICE & EMERGENCY VEHICLE SUPPLY utilizes a Standardized Color Coordinating System of wire throughout all build-outs. This enables us and our customers to identify a circuit throughout the vehicle when a harness needs to be opened up. When transferring equipment from an old unit to a new unit, we always replace old wire. This elimiates the risk of transferring a problem from one unit to another.
Standardized Color Coordinating Wire

We utilize the same channels as the factory wiring to run the emergency equipment wiring. The manufacturer built these channels into the vehicle to protect the factory wiring. For that reason, we use this protected corridor whenever possible in order to protect the emergency wiring harnesses.
Wire Channel - Passenger Side of vehicle

We always utilize the passenger side of the vehicle to run the wiring. The simple fact that there is less traffic on the passenger side of the vehicle during the life of the vehicle means there is simply less wear and tear on the wiring.
JM MOBILE FLEET POLICE & EMERGENCY VEHICLE SUPPLY NEVER runs any wiring underneath a high traffic area such as: driver or passenger side footwells. This prevents excessive, preventable, and dangerous wear and tear.

Our installations

Rubber or plastic grommets are always used when running wire through a body panel. The grommet will then be sealed with silicone. This prevents chafing of the wire over the life expectancy of the vehicle while the silicone prevents moisture from entering the vehicle at that entry point.

OUR INSTALLATION

Corrigated Loom is utilized on all exposed wiring. Underneath the vehicle hood, high temperature loom is used. Loom provides additional protection for the wire while at the same time providing a better aesthetic appearance to the vehicle.
